Grisha II class corvette (1973) High resolution picture

The antisubmarine corvettes of the Grisha II class were built for the Soviet Navy between 1972 and 1985. Given their limited operational range, these ships were intended for coastal waters. However the important antisubmarine and antiaircraft power of these units differentiated them from their predecessors. They were incorporated to every Soviet Fleet and allowed to deploy a large number of antisubmarine vessels in the coastal waters. The total number of units built of the whole series reached almost one hundred.
