Armor Plate Effectiveness

This simple program calculates a rough stimation of the effectiveness of an armor plate, by taking as parameters the width of the plate, its inclination and the estimated quality of the material. Angle is 0 for vertical or horizontal surfaces, a positive number if the inclination is like \ and a negative number if the inclination is like /. There is also a list of different homogeneous and face-hardened steels used in the past to build the armored surfaces in warships, indicating their average quality values.

Below there is a list showing the values for some well-known historical battleships. The higher the number, the higher the effectiveness of the protection scheme in the battleship. I even added an ironclad, the Caio Duilio, for pure amusement; she is the only warship whose entire armor scheme is made out of homogeneous steel, and probably it is not much right to compare her with all those face-hardened counterparts. In general, some unexpected results emerged from the list.
